బెరడు

చెట్ల యొక్క కాండం, వేర్ల యొక్క వెలుపలి పొరను బెరడు అంటారు. వృక్షజాతిలో వాటి రకాన్ని బట్టి బెరడు యొక్క పరిమాణంలో, పెళుసుతనంలో మార్పులుంటాయి. వృక్షానికి రక్షణగా ఉండే ఇది కఠినంగా ఉంటుంది. బెరడును ఆంగ్లంలో బార్క్ అంటారు^[1]. లేత బెరడు నునుపుగా, ముదురు బెరడు గరుకుగా ఉంటుంది. చెట్ల యొక్క రకాన్ని బట్టి, వాటి వయసును బట్టి బెరడు రంగులలో మార్పులుంటాయి. ఒకే చెట్టుకి వివిధ చోట్ల ఉన్న బెరడులో కూడా తేడాలుంటాయి. సాధారణంగా బాగా వయసు ముదిరిన చెట్టు మానుకు ఉన్న బెరడు మందంగా, పెళుసుగా, గరుకుగా, బూడిద రంగుతో కూడిన బెరడు ఉంటుంది. కొత్త కొమ్మలకు, లేత చెట్లకు పలుచని, నునుపైన, ఆకుపచ్చ రంగుతో కూడిన బెరడు ఉంటుంది. బెరడు వాస్కులర్ కాంబియం యొక్క వెలుపలి మొత్తం కణజాలాన్ని సూచిస్తుంది, సాంకేతికతతో సంబంధం లేని పదం.

బెరడు ఉన్న మొక్కలలో చెట్లు, కలప తీగలు, పొదలు ఉన్నాయి. బెరడు వాస్కులర్ కాంబియం వెలుపల ఉన్న అన్ని కణజాలాలను సూచిస్తుంది. ఇది సాంకేతికత లేని పదం. ఇది కలపను కప్పివేస్తుంది, లోపలి బెరడు, బయటి బెరడును కలిగి ఉంటుంది. పాత కాండంలో సజీవ కణజాలంగా ఉండే లోపలి బెరడు, పెరిడెర్మ్ యొక్క లోపలి పొరను కలిగి ఉంటుంది. పాత కాండంపై ఉన్న బయటి బెరడులో కాండం ఉపరితలంపై ఉన్న చనిపోయిన కణజాలం, బయటి పెరిడెర్మ్ యొక్క భాగాలు, పెరిడెర్మ్ యొక్క బయటి వైపున ఉన్న అన్ని కణజాలాలు ఉంటాయి. సజీవ పెరిడెర్మ్‌కు వెలుపల ఉన్న చెట్లపై ఉన్న బయటి బెరడును రైటిడోమ్ అని కూడా పిలుస్తారు..^[2]^[3]^[4]^[5]^[6]^[7]^[8]^[9]^[10]^[11]
