జలోదరం లేదా జలోదర వ్యాధి (Ascites) ఉదరంలో ఎక్కువగా ద్రవాలు చేరడం. ఈ విధంగా వివిధ రకాల వ్యాధులలో జరుగుతుంది. స్కానింగ్ పరీక్ష ద్వారా దీనిని గుర్తించవచ్చును. ఈ ద్రవాన్ని సూదితో తొలగించి కొన్ని పరీక్షల ద్వారా కారణాలను నిర్ధారించవచ్చును.
వ్యాధి లక్షణాలు
జలోదరం తక్కువగా ఉన్నప్పుడు దీనిని గుర్తించడం కష్టం. ఎక్కువగా ఉన్నప్పుడు కడుపు ఉబ్బినట్లుగా కనిపిస్తుంది. కొంతమందిలో కడుపులో బరువుగా అనిపిస్తుంది. కొద్దిమందిలో మాత్రం ఛాతీపై వత్తిడి మూలంగా ఆయాసం అనిపించవచ్చును.
వైద్యుల భౌతిక పరీక్షలలో కటి భాగం ఉబ్బినట్లుగా కనిపిస్తుంది. వేలితో గాని చేతితో గాని నెమ్మదిగా కొట్టి చూస్తే గుల్లగా కాక మోత దబ్ దబ్ మంటుంది.
కొన్ని కొన్ని లక్షణాలు జలోదరానికి కారణాలైన వ్యాధికి సంబంధించినవి ఉంటాయి. కాలేయ వ్యాధిగ్రస్తులలో కాలు పొంగు, రొమ్ము ఉబ్బడం, రక్తపు వాంతులు, బుద్ధి మందగించడం మొదలైనవి. కాన్సర్ కు సంబంధించిన వారిలో ఆకలి లేకపోవడం, బరువు తగ్గడం కనిపిస్తుంది. గుండె వైఫల్యం వల్ల ఎక్కువగా ఆయాసం వస్తుంది.
వర్గీకరణ
జలోదరాన్ని మూడు గ్రేడులుగా విభజించారు:[1]
- గ్రేడు 1: తక్కువ, స్కానింగ్ ద్వారా మాత్రమే గుర్తించగలము.
- గ్రేడు 2: పొత్తి కడుపు భాగం మాత్రమే పొంగుతుంది, వైద్య పరీక్షలు నిర్ధారిస్తాయి.
- గ్రేడు 3: స్పష్టంగా బయటకు తెలిసేవి.
