జాహిద్ అలీ ఖాన్ హైదరాబాద్‌కు చెందిన భారతీయ పాత్రికేయుడు. ఆయన ఉర్దూ వార్తాపత్రిక ది సియాసత్ డైలీకి ఎడిటర్-ఇన్-చీఫ్.[1][2] 2009లో హైదరాబాద్ లోక్‌సభ నియోజకవర్గానికి పోటీ చేసి ఓడిపోయాడు.
వ్యక్తిగత జీవితం[మార్చు]
ఆయన ది సియాసత్ డైలీ వ్యవస్థాపకుడు అబిద్ అలీ ఖాన్ కుమారుడు. అతని తల్లి మునీరున్నీసా బేగం హజ్రత్ దర్గా షా ఖామోష్ అధిపతి అయిన సయ్యద్ షా షబీర్ హుస్సేనీ కుమార్తె.[3][4]
రాజకీయ జీవితం[మార్చు]
2009లో, ఆయన 2009 భారత సార్వత్రిక ఎన్నికలలో ముస్లింల మెజారిటీ ఎక్కువగా ఉన్న హైదరాబాద్ నియోజకవర్గానికి ప్రాంతీయ తెలంగాణ రాష్ట్ర సమితి పార్టీ, తెలుగుదేశం పార్టీ, కమ్యూనిస్ట్ పార్టీ మద్దతుతో స్వతంత్ర అభ్యర్థిగా పోటీ చేస్తానని ప్రకటించాడు. కాగా 1984 నుండి ఆ నియోజకవర్గాన్ని కైవసం చేసుకుంటున్నది ఆల్ ఇండియా మజ్లిస్-ఇ-ఇత్తెహాదుల్ ముస్లిమీన్ (AIMIM) పార్టీ, దీనికి అధ్యక్షుడు అసదుద్దీన్ ఒవైసీ. ఈ ఎన్నికల్లో ఒవైసీ 110,768 ఓట్ల తేడాతో ఆయనపై విజయం సాధించాడు.[5][6]
2014లో, ఆయన భారతీయ జనతా పార్టీతో పార్టీ పొత్తుపై అసంతృప్తితో తెలుగుదేశం పార్టీ నుండి విడిపోయాడు, ఇది ముస్లిం సమాజాన్ని ప్రతికూలంగా ప్రభావితం చేస్తుందని భావించాడు.[7] ఆమ్ ఆద్మీ పార్టీ నుంచి టిక్కెట్టును కూడా తిరస్కరించాడు.[8]
