షింటో మతం

జపాన్‌లోని హిరోషిమా ప్రిఫెక్చర్‌లోని ఇట్సుకుషిమా మందిరానికి టోరి గేట్‌వే. టోరి షింటో పుణ్యక్షేత్రాల ప్రవేశద్వారం గుర్తుగా ఉంది.

షింటో (జపనీస్ భాషలో 神道) జపాన్ దేశంలో ఉద్భవించిన ఒక మతం. మత పండితులు దీనిని తూర్పు ఆసియా మతాల కింద వర్గీకరించారు. ఈ మతానుయాయులు దీన్ని పూర్తి దేశీయ మతంగానూ, ప్రకృతి మతం గానూ పరిగణిస్తారు. వీరినే షింటోయిస్టులు అని కూడా అంటారు. ఈ మతాన్ని నియంత్రించేందుకు ప్రత్యేక సంస్థ ఏమీ లేదు. దీన్ని అనుసరించే వారిలో చాలా వైవిధ్యం కనిపిస్తూ ఉంటుంది.

ఈ మతంలో బహుళ దేవతలను ఆరాధిస్తారు. ఈ పదానికర్థం "దేవతల మార్గం" అని. బౌద్ధం నుంచి ఈ మతాన్ని వేరుగా గుర్తించటానికి ఆరవ శతాబ్దంలో ఈ పదం సృజింపబడింది. ఇది చైనా భాష నుండి వచ్చిన పదం. దైవమార్గం "డౌ". దీనికి జపాను నామం "కమి". అయితే ఈ "కమి"లో దేవతలు లేరు. పైనున్న వారికి, ఉన్నత జీవులకు మాత్రమే ఇది వర్తిస్తుంది. పితర, ప్రకృతి పూజ ఈ మతానికి ముఖ్య లక్షణం. ఇది సర్వ జీవవాద, ప్రాక్తన బహుదేవతా వాదాల నుండి పుట్టింది. ఈ విషయంలో ఇది వేదమతాన్ని పోలి ఉంది. ప్రకృతి శక్తుల ఆరాధన, సర్వజీవ భావం రెండీంటికి సమానమే. ప్రకృతిలో అదృశ్య శక్తులు, దేవతలు ఉన్నారని భావించి, వాటిని పూజించారు. ఈ అదృశ్య శక్తిని "మాన" అంటారు. ఇది ఒక రమైన విద్యుచ్ఛక్తి లాంటికి. ఇదే "కమి" ఈ విశ్వ ప్రకార్యాలను వ్యక్తులుగా భావించి ఆ వ్యక్తులను దేవతలను చేసి పూజించారు. సృష్టిని గురించిన వారి భావానను చూస్తే ఈ విషయం బాగా అర్థమవుతుంది.

నిర్వచనం

షింటో మతానికి సార్వజనికమైన, ప్రామాణికమైన నిర్వచనం లేదు. కానీ రచయితలు జోసెఫ్ కాలి, జాన్ డౌగిల్ ప్రకారం షింటో అనేది ప్రకృతిలోని ప్రతి వస్తువులో అంతర్గతంగా ఉండే కమీ ను విశ్వసించడమే.
