నెలల సమస్య

సత్యా! సెప్టెంబర్‌ 1, అక్టోబర్‌ 1, డిసెంబర్‌ లతో చిన్న ఇబ్బంది; వీటికి మీరు వాడిన RTS స్పెల్లింగు, నేను వాడుతున్నది ఒకటిగనే కనిపిస్తున్నది. కానీ ఒకోసారి లింకు రావడంలేదు. మీరు రాసిన దాన్ని కాపీ చేసి పెడితేనే వస్తున్నది. ఎక్కడుంది సమస్య? నేను (పద్మ లో) ఈ స్పెల్లింగులు వాడుతున్నాను: sepTeMbar^, okTObar^, navaMbar^, DiseMbar^.__చదువరి 05:06, 2 అక్టోబర్ 2005 (UTC)

ya, I realise that. Part of the problem with Indic languages and Unicode. Yes they look the same (both the spellings.

As you realise there is an extra character in padma output. I dont know which one is correct. But we have to deal with it. I can think of two solutions

1. Adopted a standard way (may be padma) and have everyone write that way and rename everything. OR
2. Since lot of links for dates have been already established we have to do redirect pages for all those dates with problem. so that with both the types of spelling people can reach the content.
3. As you might realise I made redirect pages to september 1 and sepetember 2nd already. we have to do it for all the dates with problems (only nakaara ending dates i guess)
4. We can consult Nagarjuna about this.

Redirects obviously help us, but Redirects for so many pages.. its a huge task. Anyway, we have to do it. To avoid this problem in future, it would be ideal to make the spellings uniform across all input types. Did you get a chance to contact Nagarjuna? __చదువరి 07:21, 5 అక్టోబర్ 2005 (UTC)

As I mentioned to Satya, the problem is in Padma. 8204 which is known as Zero Width Non Joiner should not be used at the end of a word. The RTS caret is supposed to be used for syllable breaks (for example: for writing 'software' in Telugu - if you don't use the caret then it will show up as సాఫ్ట్వేర్ instead of సాఫ్ట్‌వేర్). Also, caret is implicit at the end of a word - according to the original standard సెప్టెంబర్ is 'sepTembar' but రంగవల్లిక insisted on the caret at the end. I tried to support both versions and that is the source of the bug in my code. I will post a fix for it shortly. __Nagarjuna 16:44, 6 అక్టోబర్ 2005 (UTC)

Hi, I feel that it may be better if the display shows Sabhyuni page and Sabhyunitho charcha for user and user talk. Also sabhyudu may have to be avoided as sabhyuraallu may get angry, if there are any. Thanks for a wonderful job. ప్రత్యేక పేజీలు -> అన్ని పేజీలు -> Drop down list select "Template"-> వెళ్లు (లేదా)

భారత దేశము -> దిద్దుబాటు mode -> Look at the bottom. gives you all templates used in that page ->right click that template into new window. (Easier way)

చాలా ఆసక్తికరంగా ఉంది. చాలా మంది మట్లాడే భారతీయ భాషలలో ఉన్న వ్యాసములకంటే కొన్ని కృత్తిమ భాషలలో ఎక్కువ వ్యాసములు ఉండటము కొంచెము చివుక్కుమనే విషయమే. ఎస్పరాంటొ లాంటి వికీలు ప్రారంభమవక పొతే జనాలు తమ కృషిని ఆంగ్ల వికి మీద మరల్చేవారేమో. తెలుగు వికి ఉండి ఉండక పోతే నేను ఆంగ్ల వికిలో ఇంకా ఎక్కువ కృషి చేసుండేవాన్ని. తెలుగులో రాయటము కొంచెము కష్టము అనిపించినా మాతృభాష రుణము ఇలా తీర్చుకోవచ్చు. నావి + చదువరి దిద్దుబాట్లే 3358+2029/11021 = 49 శాతము ఉండటము సంతోషకరము కాదు కానీ ఇప్పుడిప్పుడే చాలా మంది క్రియాశీల సభ్యులు చేరుతున్నారు. --వైఙాసత్య 16:54, 18 నవంబర్ 2005 (UTC)

Hi there. I got a message last month from you asking me to make a Telugu font for the Mac platform. I asked for some sample pictures of correctly rendered Telugu so that I can try and copy it, but haven't heard back. I would also need the source text that was used to create the pictures. Great!! what did you use (browser? font? OSX?). I see a mistake on third line of first para the syllable ppai is rendered incorrect. correct rendering would be p+ immediately below pa vattu + (ai vattu - bipartite vattu with one glyph above the entire thing and one glyph below). I had seen that myself but couldn't figure out how to correct it. Turns out I had made two silly errors that were clouding what transformations were occuring. Suffice to say I fixed it and have produced this. Could you check it over for any more errors? There are quite a few glyphs in the Pothana font that I'm not using at all, so I'm sure there's other problems too :-) If you know of a large body of Unicode Telugu text I can test against, please could you give me the URL? నికొలాస్ 14:22, 14 జనవరి 2006 (UTC)
