భారతదేశంలోని పురాతనమైన బ్యాంకులలో అలహాబాదు బ్యాంకు (Allahabad Bank) ఒకటి. 1865లో ఈ బ్యాంకు నిర్వహణ ఉత్తర ప్రదేశ్ రాష్ట్రంలోని అలహాబాదులో ప్రారంభమైంది. దీని ప్రధాన కార్యాలయం 1923లో పశ్చిమ బెంగాల్ రాష్ట్రంలోని కలకత్తా (ప్రస్తుత కోల్‌కతా) కు మార్చబడింది. జూలై 19, 1969న దేశంలోని ఇతర 13 వాణిజ్య బ్యాంకులతో సహా ఈ బ్యాంకును కూడా భారత ప్రభుత్వం జాతీయం చేసింది. ప్రస్తుతం ఈ బ్యాంకుకు దేశంలో 44 రీజియన్లలో 1934 శాఖలు ఉన్నాయి.
