దీపికా పడుకోణె (కన్నడం: ದೀಪಿಕಾ ಪಡುಕೋಣೆ) భారతీయ మోడల్, బాలీవుడ్ నటి. 2018లో నటుడు రణ్ వీర్ సింగ్ ని వివాహమాడింది.

2022లో మే నెల 17 నుంచి 28వ తేదీ వరకు ఫ్రాన్స్ లోని కేన్స్ లో జరిగే 75వ కేన్స్ ఫిలిం పెస్టివల్ కాంపిటీషన్ జ్యూరీలో సభ్యురాలిగా బాలీవుడ్ హీరోయిన్ దీపిక పదుకొణే నియమితులయ్యారు.[1][2] 2015లో ఆమె తనిష్క్ బ్రాండ్ అంబాసిడర్గా వ్యవహరించింది.[3]

మోషన్ పిక్చర్స్ విభాగంలో ఆమె హాలీవుడ్ వాక్ ఆఫ్ ఫేమ్ స్టార్ 2026కు ఎంపికయింది. ఈ మేరకు హాలీవుడ్ ఛాంబర్ ఆఫ్ కామర్స్ జులై 2025లో ప్రకటించింది. దీంతో అంతర్జాతీయ స్థాయిలో అరుదైన గౌరవం దక్కించుకున్న తొలి భారతీయురాలిగా ఆమె నిలిచింది.[4]

బాల్యము, విద్య

దీపిక డెన్మార్క్ లోని కోపెన్ హగెన్లో ఉజ్వల, ప్రకాష్ పడుకోనె దంపతులకు జనవరి 5, 1986లో జన్మించింది. ఆమె కుటుంబం ఇండియాలోని బెంగుళూరుకు మారినపుడు ఆమెకు పదకొండు నెలలు.[5] ఆమె తండ్రి, ప్రకాష్ పడుకోణె, అంతర్జాతీయ ఖ్యాతిగల బ్యాడ్మింటన్ ఆటగాడు, తల్లి ఒక ట్రావెల్ ఏజెంట్. పడుకోణెకి 1991లో పుట్టిన అనిష అని ఒక చెల్లి, 1993లో పుట్టిన ఆదర్శ అని తమ్ముడు ఉన్నారు.[6]

దీపిక బెంగుళూరులోని సోఫియా ఉన్నత పాఠశాలలో చదువుకుంది. బెంగుళూరులోని మౌంట్ కార్మెల్ కాలేజీలో ప్రీ యూనివర్సిటీ కోర్సు చదువు పూర్తి చేసింది.[7] హైస్కూల్లో ఉన్నపుడు ఆమె తన తండ్రిలానే రాష్ట్రస్థాయిలో బ్యాడ్మింటన్ ఆడింది. అలాగే, తన తండ్రి బ్యాడ్మింటన్ క్లబ్‌లో సభ్యురాలు.[8] కానీ, తన కెరీర్‌ని ఒక బ్యాడ్మింటన్ క్రీడాకారిణిగా మలచుకోవడంపై ఆసక్తి లేకపోవడం, తన ఐసిఎస్ఇ (ICSE) పరీక్షలపై దృష్టితో దాన్ని వదిలేసింది.[9]

కాలేజీ రోజుల్లో ఉండగా దీపిక మోడలింగ్‌ని కెరీర్‌గా ఎంచుకుంది.[10] కొద్ది కాలంలోనే, ఆమె ప్రముఖ ఉత్పత్తులైన లిరిల్, డాబర్, లాల్ పౌడర్, క్లోజప్ టూత్ పేస్టు, లిమ్కా ప్రకటనల్లో నటించింది. మేబెల్లిన్ అనే కాస్మెటిక్స్ కంపెనీ ఆమెను అంతర్జాతియ అధికార ప్రతినిధిగా నియమించుకుంది.[11]

అయిదవ వార్షిక కింగ్ ఫిషర్ ఫ్యాషన్ అవార్డులలో ఆమెకు "మోడల్ అఫ్ ది ఇయర్" అవార్డు లభించింది.[12][13] కొన్నాళ్ళలోనే, కింగ్ ఫిషర్ స్విం సూట్ కాలెండరు 2006కి ఒక మోడల్‌గా తీసుకొనబడింది, ఐడియా జీ ఫ్యాషన్ అవార్డులలో రెండు ట్రోఫీలు గెలిచింది: "ఫిమేల్ మోడల్ అఫ్ ది ఇయర్ - (కమర్షియల్ అసైన్ మెంట్స్)", "ఫ్రెష్ ఫేస్ అఫ్ ది ఇయర్". మోడలింగ్‌లో విజయవంతమైన తరువాత, పడుకోణె నటన వైపు దృష్టి సారించింది. ఆమె హిమేష్ రేషమ్మియా తీసిన స్వతంత్ర ఆల్బం ఆప్ కా సురూర్ (Aap Kaa Surroor)లోని నాం హై తేరాఅనే పాటకి మ్యూజిక్ వీడియోలో నటించడం ద్వారా తన కెరీర్‌ని మొదలుపెట్టింది.

2006లో, పడుకోణె ఉపేంద్ర హీరోగా కన్నడ సినిమా ఐశ్వర్యతో సినిమా రంగంలోకి అడుగుపెట్టింది. ఆ తరువాత ఆమె 2007లో షారుఖ్ ఖాన్ హీరోగా ఫరాఖాన్ తీసిన విజయవంతమైన బాలీవుడ్ చిత్రం ఓం శాంతి ఓం లో నటించింది.[15][16] ఆ సినిమాలో ఆమె 1970లలో సినీతార శాంతిప్రియగాను ఆ తరువాత అచ్చం శాంతి ప్రియని పోలి ఉండే సంధ్య అనే యువతిగాను నటించింది. ఆమె ప్రదర్శనకు గాను సానుకూల స్పందన లభించి, ఉత్తమ నూతన నటిగా ఫిల్మ్ ఫేర్ పురస్కారం సంపాదించి పెట్టింది. ఆ తరువాత పడుకోణె సిద్ధార్థ్ ఆనంద్ సినిమా బచ్నా ఏ హసీనో (2008) లో రణబీర్ కపూర్ తోనూ, వార్నర్ బ్రదర్స్-బాలీవుడ్ కలిసి తీసిన, జనవరి 16, 2009లో విడుదల అయిన చాందిని చౌక్ టు చైనాలోనూ కనిపించింది. జనవరి 2009 గాను, ఆమె ఇంతియాజ్ అలీ సినిమా లవ్ ఆజ్ కల్ లో సైఫ్ అలీ ఖాన్ తో కలిసి నటించింది.
