షణ్ముఖ ప్రియ (జననం 2002, నవంబరు 2) కర్ణాటక సంగీతం, జాజ్, రాక్, పాప్, యోడెలింగ్ లలో ప్రత్యేకత కలిగిన భారతీయ గాయని. ఆమె అనేక ప్రసిద్ధ రియాలిటీ టెలివిజన్ షోలలో కనిపించింది, వీటిలో పడుత థియాగా ఎస్ 6 (2013), స రే గ మా పా లల్ చాంప్స్ 2017 (2017), ఇండియన్ ఐడల్ 12 (2020–21) ఉన్నాయి.[1][2]
ప్రారంభ జీవితం, వృత్తి[మార్చు]
షణ్ముఖ ప్రియ భారతదేశంలోని విశాఖపట్నంలో తెలుగు మాట్లాడే కుటుంబంలో జన్మించింది. తల్లి రత్నమాల సంగీత ఉపాధ్యాయురాలు, తండ్రి శ్రీనివాస్ కుమార్ వీణ, వయోలిన్, గిటార్, మాండొలిన్, కీబోర్డు వాయిద్యకారుడు. ఆమెకు మూడేళ్ల వయసున్నప్పుడు ఆమె అలారం గడియారంలో వినిపించే ట్యూన్ కు ఆమె హమ్మింగ్ ను ఆమె తండ్రి మొదటిసారి విన్నారని ది హిందూ నివేదించింది. అతను వెంటనే వీణ తీసి ఆమెకు స్వరాలు, లయలు ఇచ్చాడు. ఆమె తన గాత్రంతో బాగా ప్రదర్శన ఇచ్చింది, తరువాత కర్ణాటక సంగీతంలో శిక్షణ ప్రారంభించింది.[3][4][5][6]
6 సంవత్సరాల వయస్సులో, ఆమె 2008 లో జీ తెలుగులో ప్రసారమైన స రే గ మ ప లల్ చాంప్స్ 2008 అనే టీవీ షోతో రియాలిటీ సింగింగ్ లో అరంగేట్రం చేసింది. ఎస్.పి.బాలసుబ్రహ్మణ్యం న్యాయనిర్ణేతగా వ్యవహరించిన పాడుత తీయాగ అనే సీరియల్ ఆమెకు పెద్ద విజయాన్ని అందించింది. బుల్లితెరపై విజయం తరువాత, ఆమె నేపథ్య గాయనిగా మారింది, 2010 లో తెలుగు చిత్రం తేజం కోసం ఒక పాటను రికార్డ్ చేసింది.[7][8][9]
తరువాత, ఆమె ఐదు టెలివిజన్ సింగింగ్ షోలలో కనిపించింది, వీటిలో రెండు తెలుగులో, రెండు హిందీలో, ఒకటి తమిళంలో ఉన్నాయి. ఇండియన్ ఐడల్ 12 లో ఆమె నటన విస్తృతంగా ప్రాచుర్యం పొందింది. జానే తు సినిమాలోని "జానే తు మేరా క్యా హై" పాటకు ఆమె జాజ్ స్టైల్ పెర్ఫార్మెన్స్ చూశాక... యా జానే నా (2008) షోలో ఎ.ఆర్.రెహమాన్ ఆమెను ప్రశంసించి తదుపరి 'జాజ్ స్టార్ ఆఫ్ ఇండియా'గా అభివర్ణించారు. దీనికి భిన్నంగా ఆమె గానం శైలిని ప్రేక్షకులు తరచూ విమర్శిస్తూ ట్రోల్ చేస్తుంటారు. ఇండియన్ ఐడల్ 12లో వివిధ పాటలు పాడిన తనదైన శైలిలో ఈ విమర్శలు ఎక్కువగా వస్తున్నాయి.[10][11][12][13][14][15][16][17][18][19][20]
