నెప్ట్యూన్ Neptune (మూస:PronEng[9]) సౌరమండలము లో సూర్యుని నుండి 8వ దూరమైన గ్రహం. ప్రస్తుతానికి ఇదే ఆఖరు గ్రహమని అనవచ్చును. సౌరమండలములో వ్యాసం ప్రకారం చూస్తే నాలుగవ పెద్ద గ్రహం, బరువులో చూస్తే 3వ అతిపెద్ద గ్రహం. ఇది భూమికంటే 17 రెట్లు బరువెక్కువ, యురేనస్ (భూమి కన్నా 15 రెట్ల బరువెక్కువ) కన్నా కొద్ది బరువెక్కువ. [10] రోమన్ సముద్ర దేవతైన 'నెప్చూన్' పేరు దీనికి పెట్టారు.
దీనిని సెప్టెంబరు 23, 1846న, కనుగొన్నారు. [1] నెప్ట్యూన్ ను అంతరిక్ష నౌక వోయెజర్ 2 ఆగస్టు 25, 1989 న సందర్శించింది.
