జార్ఖండ్ ముఖ్యమంత్రి భారతదేశం, జార్ఖండ్ రాష్ట్రానికి ముఖ్య నిర్వహణాధికారిగా వ్యవహరిస్తాడు. భారత రాజ్యాంగం ప్రకారం, రాష్ట్రానికి ఒక గవర్నరు, ఒక రాష్ట్ర న్యాయమూర్తి అధిపతి. అయితే వాస్తవ కార్యనిర్వాహక అధికారం ముఖ్యమంత్రి వద్ద ఉంటుంది.శాసనసభకు ఎన్నికల జరిగిన తరువాత, రాష్ట్ర గవర్నరు సాధారణంగా పార్టీని (లేదా సంకీర్ణాన్ని) మెజారిటీ సభ్యులుతో ప్రభుత్వాన్ని ఏర్పాటు చేయడానికి ఆహ్వానిస్తారు.దాని ప్రకారం గవర్నరు ముఖ్యమంత్రిని నియమిస్తారు.మంత్రుల మండలి అసెంబ్లీకి సమిష్టిగా బాధ్యత వహిస్తుంది. అసెంబ్లీ విశ్వాసం దృష్ట్యా, ముఖ్యమంత్రి పదవీకాలం ఐదేళ్లపాటు, కాలపరిమితికి లోబడి ఉంటుంది.[3][4]
