గ్రహం (లాటిన్, స్పానిష్ Planeta, ఆంగ్లం, జర్మన్ Planet), 2006 లో అంతర్జాతీయ ఖగోళ సమాఖ్య (International Astronomical Union) (IAU), విశదీకరణ ప్రకారం, అంతరిక్షంలో ఒక 'శరీరం', ఇది తన కేంద్రకమైన సూర్యుడు లేక నక్షత్రం చుట్టూ ఒక నిర్దిష్టమైన్ కక్ష్యలో పరిభ్రమిస్తూ వుంటుంది. బరువునూ, గురుత్వాన్నీ కల్గి, వీటి వల్ల ఆకృతినీ కల్గి వుంటుంది. Disaster, ill luck, fate, misfortune దురదృష్టం. నా గ్రహచారము చాలక యిట్లు జరిగినది through my misfortune (or, to my sorrow) it so happened. మా గ్రహచారము ఇట్లున్నది this is what has befallen us. గ్రహణము grahaṇa-mu. n. Taking, seizure. Reception, acceptance, comprehension. An eclipse. గ్రహణి grahaṇi. n. Diarrhœa, dysentery. అతిసార రోగము. గ్రహతారలు graha-tāralu. n. The planets and fixed stars. గ్రహపతి graha-pati. n. The lord of the stars, i.e., the sun సూర్యుడు. గ్రహరాజు the sun or moon.
