అస్సాంలో 2014లో 14 లోక్‌సభ స్థానాలకు 2014 ఏప్రిల్ 7, 12, 24 తేదీలలో మూడు దశల్లో 2014 భారత సార్వత్రిక ఎన్నికలు జరిగాయి.[1] అస్సాం మొత్తం ఓటర్ల బలం 18,723,032గా ఉంది.[2]

ఇండియన్ నేషనల్ కాంగ్రెస్, భారతీయ జనతా పార్టీ, అసోమ్ గణ పరిషత్, ఆల్ ఇండియా యునైటెడ్ డెమోక్రటిక్ ఫ్రంట్, ఇతరులు అస్సాంలోని ప్రధాన రాజకీయ పార్టీలుగా ఉన్నాయి.

ఈశాన్య భారతదేశంలోని తిరుగుబాటు మిలిటెంట్ గ్రూపుల నుండి బెదిరింపులు ఉన్నప్పటికీ, ప్రజలు ఓటింగ్ కోసం పెద్ద సంఖ్యలో హాజరయ్యారు.[3][4] అస్సాంలో 80% ఓటర్లు ఉన్నారు, ఇది భారతదేశంలోనే అత్యధికంగా ఉంది. [5]

ఎన్నికల ఫలితాలు 2014, మే 16న ప్రకటించబడ్డాయి.[1] తీవ్రవాద సంస్థల బెదిరింపులు ఉన్నప్పటికీ 80% ఓటింగ్ నమోదైంది.[13]
