ఈ వ్యాసం భారతదేశంలోని ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ రాష్ట్రంలో ఉన్న నగర పాలక సంస్థల గురించి వివరిస్తుంది. భారత ప్రభుత్వ శాఖ పరిధిలోని ''రిజిస్ట్రార్ జనరల్ కార్యాలయం, సెన్సస్ కమిషనర్ నిర్వహించిన 2011 భారత జనాభా గణాంక లెక్కల" ఆధారం ప్రకారంగా ఉంది.[1]
గణాంకాలు[మార్చు]
ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ రాష్ట్రంలో మొత్తం 13 జిల్లాల్లో 16 మున్సిపల్ కార్పొరేషన్లు ఉన్నాయి.[2] తూర్పు గోదావరి జిల్లా, కృష్ణా జిల్లా మాత్రమే రెండు నగర పాలక సంస్థలు కలిగి ఉన్నాయి.[3] మచిలీపట్నం, శ్రీకాకుళం, విజయనగరం, 9 డిసెంబర్ 2015న నగరపాలక సంస్థలుగా వృద్ధి చేయబడ్డాయి.రాష్ట్రంలోని అన్నిజిల్లా కేంద్రాలు నగర పాలక సంస్థలుగా ఉన్నాయి.[4] వీటిలో కేవలం విజయవాడ, తిరుపతి, రాజమండ్రి మాత్రమే జిల్లా కేంద్రాలు కావు.[2]
