అర్జున గారూ, పెద్ద సమస్యేమీ కాదనుకుంటాను. తేదీని ఇంగ్లీషులో ఇచ్చినా సరిగ్గా పనిచెయ్యలేదంటే ఆకృతి సరిగ్గా లేకపోయి ఉండవచ్చు. 4 Sep 2019 అనే ఆకృతిలో ఇస్తే తీసుకుంటుంది. ఉదాహరణకు 2019 ఆంధ్ర ప్రదేశ్ శాసనసభ ఎన్నికలు పేజీ చూడండి.., అనేక మూలాల్లో దీన్ని వాడాము. 2019-09-04 ఆకృతిలోనూ తీసుకుంటుంది. చంద్రయాన్-2 పేజీలో చూడొచ్చు. మొదటి దానిలో 04 అని రాయనక్కర్లేదు, రెండో దానిలో మాత్రం DD, MM లు తప్పనిసరి. రెండిట్లోనూ YYYY తప్పనిసరి. ఆమోదిత ఆకృతులు ఇంకా ఉన్నాయి. వాటిని పక్కన పెడదాం. ఇప్పుడు-

మీరు చూపించిన పై లింకులోని తేదీని ఇంగ్లీషు లోకి మార్చినా ఎందుకు పనిచెయ్యలేదంటే అది ఆమోదిత ఆకృతిలో లేకపోవడమే. 9 Sep 2019, 24 Sep 2010 అనే రెండు తేదీలను తప్పు ఆకృతిలో ఇవ్వడం వలన లోపం చూపించింది. నేను అదే మూలాన్ని, తేదీ ఆకృతిని సరిదిద్ది, మళ్ళీ అదే స్థానంలో మీరు మార్చిన లింకుకు ముందు చేర్చాను. పరిశీలించండి. __చదువరి (చర్చ • రచనలు) 00:48, 14 సెప్టెంబరు 2019 (UTC)

తెలుగు తేదీలు కూడా dmy ఆకృతిలో (తేదీకి ముందు సున్న చేర్చకుండా) వుంటే హెచ్చరిక చూపించుటలేదు. కాని బాట్ కొత్తగా చేర్చే తెలుగు తేదీలు (ముఖ్యంగా archive-date) ymd లో చేరుస్తున్నది. వాటిని సరిచేస్తే హెచ్చరికలేమి లేవు.(ఉదాహరణ)--అర్జున (చర్చ) 02:59, 17 సెప్టెంబరు 2019 (UTC)

Configuration (non text) changes

@User:Cyberpower678, Thanks for your trial run of InternetArchivebot on te.wikipedia.org. We did an analysis of 75 changes out of all 256 changes done by bot. We need the following changes to the bot's functioning

1. When bot adds dates to the citation, Telugu format of dmy without zero prefixing for single digit day is fine. But the dmy with zero prefixing for day or ymd Telugu dates are not suitable. This leads to Check date values flagging in the reference list. We would like all the dates changed to dmy (Telugu), with out 0 prefixing for single digit day.(Example fix for zero prefixed day Telugu(dmy)). If there are any difficulties, please retain English ymd dates (Example correction for the bot's edit with English(ymd))
2. When adding date to {{dead link}} use English month and yyyy format. Do not change to Telugu month as the Date validation in Telugu Wikipedia throws error. (Example correction for the bot's edit with English month)
3. When date entries are wikilinks, this is resulting check date error. So please remove wikilinks and retain English date as is. (Example fix)
4. More than one of |deadurl= and |url-status= specified (help); Note appears, when the reference has deadurl flag, but the bot discovers it is live. Old flag can be removed. (Example:Look for Ref Sl.No 21)
5. If the bot finds an active link,which is not archived already, we would like it to archive it and then update the citation with archive link. Example link, which was ignored in the bot edit (second link).
6. Additional template to handle: {{వెబ్ మూలము}} which uses {{Cite web}} to simulate deprecated {{web reference}}

Arjunaraoc, I am responding in the same order as above.

1. Default date format has been updated. IABot is using the Telegu locale.
2. This is not possible at this time. IABot initializes locales during startup and the dates become fixed in the given language specified. That is it can only operate in Telegu or in English when it comes to timestamps.
3. That's not within the bot's scope. You should get a different bot to do that. If it can't parse the date, it will outright replace it with the defined default in Telegu per point 2.
4. This is an iffy issue right now. Thanks to enwiki forcing the deadurl parameter to be completely unrecognized, and thanks to the bot referencing the enwiki defintions for this wiki, it acts the same way here as it does on enwiki. Inevitable, it's probably best to completely drop support for dead-url here as well, but in the meantime, I'm working on a new solution to better handle this.
5. Are you saying you want every URL on Wikipedia to have an archive link?
6. See point 4. Solution should address this too.

@User:Cyberpower678, Thanks for your feedback and second ping. I did not get the first notification. As other users also mentioned in our village pump discussion, there seems to be some problem with notifications.

I understand that we may have to tweak the date validation code for our language to avoid errors. We wanted all the live links to be archived, as the archival sources are few for Telugu. I have updated the translations at https://tools.wmflabs.org/iabot/index.php?page=wikiconfig&wiki=tewiki and at https://translatewiki.net/wiki/Wikimedia:Iabot-defaultArchiveTitle/te . As the translation for default archive title (Second message in the discussion) was blank till I updated and this string did not appear in the translations I submitted on the Phabricator, I did not know where it is picking up the translation "ఆర్కైవ్ చేసిన కాపీ". Can you make a trial run for about 3 pages, to check whether the changes are reflected completly, after one day (to ensure sync of translations from translatewiki)>?--అర్జున (చర్చ) 03:42, 15 అక్టోబరు 2019 (UTC)
