• "మరియు" అనే పదం తెలుగుకు సహజమైన వాడుక కాదు. ప్రామాణిక ప్రచురణల్లో దాన్ని వాడరు. వికీపీడియాలో కూడా దాన్ని వాడరాదు. మరింత సమాచారం కోసం వికీపీడియా:శైలి/భాష చూడండి.
• వికీపీడియాలో ప్రతీ పేజీకి అనుబంధంగా ఒక చర్చ పేజీ ఉంటుంది. వ్యాస విషయానికి సంబంధించిన చర్చ, సంబంధిత చర్చ పేజీలో చెయ్యాలి. మీ వాడుకరి పేజీకి కూడా అనుబంధంగా చర్చ పేజీ ఉంది. ఆ పేజీలోనే ఈ స్వాగత సందేశం పెట్టాను, గమనించారా?
• చర్చ పేజీల్లో ఏమైనా రాసినపుడు దాని పక్కన సంతకం పెట్టాలి. నాలుగు టిల్డెలతో (టిల్డె అంటే - కీబోర్డులో "1" అంకె మీటకు ఎడమ పక్కన ఉన్న మీట. షిఫ్ట్ కీతో కలిపి దాన్ని నొక్కాలి.) ~~~~ ఇలా రాస్తే మీ పేరు, తేదీ, టైము ముద్రితమౌతాయి - అదే సంతకం! దిద్దుబాటు పెట్టె (వికీలో ఎక్కడైనా సరే.., రాసేది, ఇప్పుడు నేను ఇదంతా రాసినదీ దిద్దుబాటు పెట్టెలోనే) పైభాగం లోని () బొమ్మపై నొక్కినా సంతకం చేరుతుంది. వికీమీడియా ఫౌండేషన్ బోర్డ్ అఫ్ ట్రస్టీస్ వారు ఫిబ్రవరి 1 నుండి మర్చి 14 వరకు, కమ్యూనిటీ ద్వారా ఎన్నుకోబడే బోర్డు స్థానాల కోసం సంప్రదింపులు జరుపుతున్నారు. దీనికి కారణం; గత పది సంవత్సరాలలో వికీమీడియా ఫౌండేషన్, ప్రాజెక్టులు ఐదు రెట్లు పెరగగా, బోర్డ్ పనితీరు, ఏర్పాట్లు, ఏమి మారలేదు. ఇప్పుడు ఉన్న విధానాల ప్రకారం, బోర్డుకు తగినంత సామర్థ్యం, ప్రాతినిధ్యం లేవు. మామూలుగా జరిగే ఎన్నికలు, బహిర్ముఖులుగా ఉంటూ ఇంగ్లీష్ వికీపీడియా వంటి పెద్ద ప్రాజెక్టులు లేదా అమెరికా వంటి పాశ్చాత్య దేశాలు నుండి వచ్చేవారికి తోడ్పడుతున్నాయి. మిగిలిన వారికీ ఎన్ని శక్తిసామర్ధ్యాలు ఉన్నా తగినంత ప్రచారం లేనందు వలన వారికి ఓటు వేసే వారు తక్కువ మంది. ఉదాహరణకి, వికీమీడియా ఫౌండేషన్ పదిహేను సంవత్సరాల చరిత్రలో, భారత ఉపఖండం నుండి కేవలం ఒక్కళ్ళు మాత్రమే బోర్డు లో సేవలు అందించారు. వారు కూడా నిర్దిష్ట నైపుణ్యం కోసం నేరుగా నియమించబడ్డవారే గాని, ఎన్నుకోబడలేదు.

As you may already know, the 2021 Wikimedia Foundation Board of Trustees elections are from 4 August 2021 to 17 August 2021. Members of the Wikimedia community have the opportunity to elect four candidates to a three-year term. After a three-week-long Call for Candidates, there are 20 candidates for the 2021 election.

An event for community members to know and interact with the candidates is being organized. During the event, the candidates will briefly introduce themselves and then answer questions from community members. The event details are as follows:

నమస్కారం Rajasekhar1961 గారు, నాకు కొన్ని సందేహాలున్నాయి వాటిని నివృత్తి చేస్తే మీ ప్రశ్నకు సమాధానం చెప్పడానికి నాకు కొంచెం ఆసరాగా ఉంటుంది.

1)అధికారిక జాలస్థలి గా వేటిని పరిగణిస్తారు. 2)తెవికీలో ఒక వ్యాసానికి ఉండాల్సిన కనీస ప్రామాణాలు(కమ్మూనిటి నిర్ణయించినవి) ఏంటి? 3)ఒక వ్యాసం నిర్మించి 12 సంవత్సరాలు అయి ఉండి, దాంట్లో మూలాలు చేర్చకుండా.. కేవలం రెండు వాక్యాలే రాసుంటే దాన్ని తొలగింపుకు ప్రతిపాదించవచ్ఛా? కాలవిరాగ్య (చర్చ) 07:12, 14 ఆగస్టు 2021 (UTC)

కాలవిరాగ్య గారూ, వికీ నిర్వహణలో సూటిదనం, నిర్మొహమాటం, వస్తుగతమైన ఆలోచన ముఖ్యం. వాటివల్ల తక్షణ కాలావధిలో మీపట్ల కుసింత ప్రతికూలత ఏర్పడవచ్చునేమో గానీ, దీర్ఘ కాలంలో మీపట్ల గౌరవాన్నే కలగజేస్తాయి. ఆ లక్షణాలు మీలో ఉన్నాయని నాకు అనిపిస్తోంది. వాటిని పెంపొందించుకోండి. ఐతే, చర్య తీసుకునే ముందు కొంత సంయమనం పాటిస్తే మరింత మంచి ఫలితాలుంటాయి. ఏ చర్యైనా సరే చర్చతో మొదలెడితే సవ్యంగా ముందుకు పోతుంది. ఇకపోతే, ఇప్పుడు..

ఒక పక్కన ఈ సమస్యలో స్పందిస్తూనే పోటీలో 5200 పేజీల సంఖ్యను ఎలా దాటారో, మిగతావాళ్ళకు అందనంత ఎత్తుకు ఎలా వెళ్ళారో చెప్పండి. :)

నమస్కారం చదువరి గారు, ముందుగా మీ అభినందనలకు ధన్యవాదాలు. వికీలోని చాలా అంశాలు, నియమాలు దృష్టిలో ఉంచుకొని అలాగే ఆంగ్ల వికీలో నేను వ్యాసాలూ రాస్తుంటే జరిగిన అనుభవాలనుండి నేను నేర్చుకున్న విషయాలు పై చర్యలకు ప్రధాన కారణం. అయితే పవన్ సంతోష్ గారు సూచించిన అంతా సదుద్దేశంతోనే అన్న నియమం పాటించడంలో కొంచెం అదుపు తప్పి నట్టుంది, ఇకపై సరి చేసుకుంటాను. మీరు సూచంచినట్లు ముందుగా చర్చించడం కూడా నెర్చుకుంటాను.

అయితే ఈ సమస్య మొదలైన సమయంలో కొద్దిగా వికీలో సవరణ చేయటంలో నిరాశ కలిగింది, అయితే మీరు పైన ప్రస్తావించిన దీర్ఘకాల ధోరణి కొంచెం ముందే మనసులో తోచించి. అందుకు మల్లి నేను ఈ కారణంతో పోటీలో ఎక్కడ వెనకపడిపోతానో అన్న భయం ( :P ) , అలాగే నేను ముందుగా నిర్ణయించుకున్నట్లు ఈ పోటీ అయిపోయే సరికి పూర్తిగా అన్ని గ్రామ వ్యాసాల్లో మ్యాపు చేర్చాలి అనే లక్ష్యం నన్ను ఆపకుండా అలాగే కృషి చేసే లా ఉండనిచ్చింది. 2021 వికీమీడియా ఫౌండేషన్ బోర్డు అఫ్ ట్రస్టీస్ ఎన్నికలలు మొదలయ్యాయి. ఈ ఎన్నిక 18 ఆగష్టు 2021 న మొదలైంది, 31 ఆగష్టు 2021 న ముగుస్తుంది. వికీమీడియా ఫౌండేషన్ తెలుగు వికీపీడియా వంటి ప్రాజెక్టులకు మద్దతు ఇస్తుంది. వికీమీడియా ఫౌండేషన్ కార్యకలాపాలను పర్యవేక్షించేందుకు వికీమీడియా ఫౌండేషన్ బోర్డ్ ఆఫ్ ట్రస్టీస్ ఉంటుంది. బోర్డ్ ఆఫ్ ట్రస్టీల గురించి ఈ లింకులో తెలుసుకోండి.

స్త్రీవాదము - జానపదము అనేది ప్రతి సంవత్సరం ఫిబ్రవరి, మార్చి నెలలలో వికీపీడియాలో జరిగే అంతర్జాతీయ రచనల పోటీ. వికీపీడియాలో ప్రపంచంలోని వివిధ ప్రాంతాలకు చెందిన జానపద సంస్కృతి, జానపద కథలతో సంబంధం ఉన్న స్త్రీలకు సంబంధించిన అనేక అంశాలను డాక్యుమెంట్ చేయడం దీని ఉద్దేశం. ఈ ప్రాజెక్ట్ ప్రపంచవ్యాప్తంగా జానపద వారసత్వాన్ని డాక్యుమెంట్ చేయడానికి వికీమీడియా కామన్స్‌లో నిర్వహించబడిన వికీ లవ్స్ ఫోక్‌లోర్ (WLF) ఫోటోగ్రఫీ ప్రచారానికి వికీపీడియా మరోరూపం. ఈ ప్రాజెక్టులో జానపద ఉత్సవాలు, జానపద నృత్యాలు, జానపద సంగీతం, జానపద మహిళలు, విచిత్రమైన జానపద కథలు, జానపద ఆటల క్రీడాకారులు, పురాణాలలో మహిళలు, జానపద కథలలో మహిళా యోధులకు గురించిన కొత్త వ్యాసాలను రాయడం లేదా వికీలో ఉన్న వ్యాసాలను మెరుగుపరచవచ్చు.

Hello Community Organizers,

Thank you for organising Feminism and Folklore writing competition on your wiki. We congratulate you in joining and celebrating our cultural heritage and promoting gender equality on Wikipedia.

To encourage boost for the contributions of the participants, we're offering prizes for Feminism and Folklore local prizes. Each Wikipedia will have three local winners:

• First Prize: $15 USD

నమస్కారం User:Nskjnv, నేను గత ఐదు సంవత్సరాలుగా తెలుగు వికీపీడియాలో నిర్విరారముగా కృషి చేస్తున్నాను. ఈ ప్రయాణంలో తెలుగు వికీపీడియా వ్యాసాల పరంగా నేను దాదాపుగా 13000 పైగా వ్యాసాలని సృష్టించడం జరిగింది. తెలుగు వికీపీడియాలో ఉన్న లక్ష పదివేల వ్యాసాలలో నేను రాసిన వ్యాసాల సంఖ్య ఎంత అంటే దాదాపు 10% వ్యాసాల్ని నేనొక్కన్నే రాసినట్టుగా గమనించాను, కానీ ఇటీవల మీరు నిర్వహించిన స్త్రీవాదం జానపదం ప్రాజెక్టు ద్వారా ప్రాజెక్టు నిర్వహణలో భాగంగా తెలుగు వికీపీడియాలో చక్కటి కృషి ఎలా చేయవచ్చు అనేది నేను గమనించడం జరిగింది. 2025 ఫిబ్రవరి మార్చ్ నెలల్లో తెవికి 21 సంవత్సరాల్లో చేరుకోలేని మైలురాళ్లను మీరు ఈ రెండు నెలల్లో కూడా ఈ ప్రాజెక్టు ద్వారా ఒక నెలలో అత్యధిక వ్యాసాలు సృష్టించడం వీలు పడేటట్టు చేయడం అభినందనీయం. ఒక ప్రాజెక్టు ద్వారా ఇంత చక్కటి సమిష్టి కృషి చేయవచ్చని నేను 2025 స్త్రీవాదం జానపదం చూసి నేర్చుకోవడం జరిగింది. అయితే తెలుగు వికీపీడియాలో కేవలం వ్యాసాలు రాయడం అనే అంశమే కాకుండా ఇతర అంశాలపై కూడా కృషి చేయొచ్చు అని చెప్పేసి తెలుగు వికీపీడియాలో ఇదివరకు జరిగిన ప్రాజెక్టులు చూసి నేను గమనించాను. వాటిల్లో నాకు వికీపీడియా పేజెస్ వాంటింగ్ ఫొటోస్ 2021 - 22 లో జరిగిన కృషి చాలా అభినందనీయంగా కనిపించింది. గత మూడు నాలుగు సంవత్సరాలుగా తెవికీ కి అంతర్జాతీయ ఖ్యాతిని తెచ్చిపడుతున్న ఈ ప్రాజెక్టుల్లో నేను కూడా భాగస్వామ్యం అవ్వాలని నాకు ఆసక్తిగా ఉంది.

Join the 6th Wikipedia Pages Wanting Photos Campaign – 2025 Edition

Dear Wikimedia affiliate community leader,

Thanks for organizing the previous editions of the Wikipedia Pages Wanting Photos Campaign in your community. We invite your community again to participate in the 6th edition of the Wikipedia Pages Wanting Photos Campaign, a global campaign taking place from July 1 to August 31, 2025.

Participants will choose among Wikipedia pages without photos, then add a suitable photo from among the many thousands of photos in the Wikimedia Commons, especially those uploaded from thematic contests (Wiki Loves Africa, Wiki Loves Earth, Wiki Loves Folklore, Wiki Loves Monuments, etc.) over the years.

More than 80 Wikimedia affiliates have participated since the campaign was launched in 2020 and have added images to more than 400,000 Wikipedia articles in over 245 Wikipedia languages. Thanks to the volunteer contributors!

We now invite your affiliate to organize and lead the campaign within your community. As a local organizer, you may:

• Encourage individual members to take part by adding images to Wikipedia articles.
• Host edit-a-thons focused on improving visual content.
• Organize training workshops to teach contributors how to correctly integrate images into Wikipedia.

These activities will help build local capacity and increase visual content across Wikipedia.

Please note that for participants to be eligible to participate in the campaign, they need to have registered an account for at least a year before the official start date of the contest. That is, for the 2025 edition, they must have registered an account on or before July 1, 2025. The account can be from any Wikimedia project wikis.

The organizing team is looking for a contact person to coordinate WPWP participation at the Wikimedia user group or chapter level (geographically or thematically) or for a language Wikipedia.

Hope you’re doing well. I’m reaching out with some exciting updates about Feminism and Folklore 2026. Thanks to the amazing support from organizers like you, the campaign has grown into one of the biggest and most collaborative initiatives in the entire Wikimedia movement. Your efforts have played a huge part in that, and we’re truly grateful. We’re hoping to make the 2026 edition even larger and even more community-driven.

We’d be very happy to have you join again as an organizer. The sign-up process is simple this year:

1. Create your local event page (you can copy from the sample)
2. Set up your Fountain or CampWiz campaign.
3. Add your campaign link to the 2026 registration list

The focus of the campaign remains the same - creating or expanding Wikipedia content on feminism, women’s issues, gender topics, and diverse folk traditions from around the world. International and local prizes will continue as before.

Special Prize for 2026:

Every participant will receive a Wikipedia 25 digital postcard as a token of appreciation for contributing to the global movement during Wikipedia’s 25th anniversary year. This will be sent to all contributors who take part in the campaign.

We’re also adding an optional one-time internet and childcare support for organizers who may need extra assistance to carry out their local campaign. This is entirely optional and meant to help those who might otherwise face challenges in organizing. More details will be shared soon.

Invitation to Organize Feminism and Folklore 2026

Dear Nskjnv,

We are pleased to invite you to organize the Feminism and Folklore 2026 writing competition on your local Wikipedia.

The international campaign will run from 1 February to 31 March 2026 and aims to improve coverage of feminism, women’s histories, gender-related topics, and folk culture across Wikipedia projects.

About the Campaign

Feminism and Folklore is a global writing initiative that complements the Wiki Loves Folklore photography competition. While Wiki Loves Folklore focuses on visual documentation, this writing campaign addresses the gender gap on Wikipedia by improving encyclopedic content related to folk culture and women.

What Can Participants Write About?

Communities can contribute by creating, expanding, or translating articles related to:

• Folk festivals, rituals, and celebrations
• Folk dances, music, and traditional performances
• Women and queer figures in folklore
• Women in mythology and oral traditions
• Women warriors, witches, and witch-hunting narratives
• Fairy tales, folk stories, and legends
• Folk games, sports, and cultural practices

Participants may work from curated article lists or generate new article suggestions using campaign tools.

How to Sign Up as an Organizer

Organizers are requested to complete the following steps to register their community:

1. Create a local project page on your wiki (see sample)
2. Set up the campaign using the CampWiz tool
3. Prepare a local article list and clearly mention:
   • Campaign timeline
   • Local and international prizes
4. Request a site notice from local administrators (see sample)

Campaign Tools

The Wiki Loves Folklore Tech Team has introduced tools to support organizers and participants:

• Article List Generator by Topic – Helps identify articles available on English Wikipedia but missing in your local language Wikipedia. The tool allows customized filters and provides downloadable article lists in CSV and wikitable formats.
• CampWiz – Enables communities to manage writing campaigns effectively, including jury-based evaluation. This will be the third year CampWiz is officially used for Feminism and Folklore.
